In April 2020, Myrja opened Sol Counseling & Consulting, a group mental health practice that provides individual and family services to adults as well as children. The vision of Sol Counseling is to create a safe and supportive place for clients to feel comfortable, heard and understood. Myrja’s mission is to decrease the stigma of mental health, particularly in communities of color.

"My goal is to help you feel empowered to live, not merely exist or settle. I chose the name Sol because 'the sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light' (S. Anja). I believe that every day is a new chance to try it again, maybe with a little bit more insight and wisdom”.

Myrja considers herself a free spirit who loves to travel and experience different cultures. Born of Haitian parents, Myrja was instilled with a love for family, food, music and art.
